P.S. I forgot to mention...
P.S. I forgot to mention that Abby now has a night life. Remember how she used to be an inside cat? Now she's an insideoutside cat. Most nights she leaves sometime in the evening and doesn't come back until around 10 or so when one of us decides we miss her and are willing to make the effort to get up, go to the door, and call her. She only stays for a few minutes and by about 10:08 or so, she leaves again and doesn't come back until about 12 when Mitchell's leaving. Even then, she spends a lot of the night either sitting by the front door, crying by the front door, sitting by the window, crying by the window, or bugging things enough to get us to let her out again.
The thing is, we don't really know what she does when she's outside. Lots of rolling in the dirt, we think (hence the previous pictures). Maybe some chasing bugs or watching grass blow in the wind or something. Em once saw her making eyes at another cat. Clearly, this suggests that she has friends.
One morning, after Abs had been out all night, Em and I had to have The Talk with her about how, "We don't feel comfortable with [her] staying out all night at [her] age." Especially since, "We don't know [her] friends." The thing is, "It's not [her] we don't trust, it's [her] friends."
